Transport
The El Paso International Airport is the gateway to West Texas, southern New Mexico, and northern Mexico. It offers passenger services and air cargo services but lacks 24 hr dining facilities. The Airport is served by all major airlines like American Airlines, AeroLitoral, Frontier, America West, Continental, Delta, Southwest, and United. From airport you can reach the desired destination either by a taxi or by car.
If you are considering coming by car, from Mexico, you can take one of the International bridges. From the Guadalupe Mountains National Park, take 62/180 West towards El Paso. Two major highways transport drivers in, out, and through El Paso: I-10 runs east and west, and Highway 54 runs north and south; Highway 375 loops around the outskirts of the city, through Fort Bliss, and close to downtown.
Several bus lines also offer service to and from El Paso, and Amtrak provides passenger rail service west to California and east as far as Florida.
For traveling within the city, car is the best option. Many car rental companies are available at airport. When you fly in to El Paso Airport, you have your choice of airport car rental in El Paso. From luxury cars to economy cars, there are plenty of cars available for everyone’s needs. Since most of the interesting sites are far from each other, car rental provides flexibility. Also taxi is available at every corner of the city.
